**Product received for review, all thoughts are my own.

Having an 8 year old son, I have found that there are two types of toys that boys of that age all seem to love. They love toys that allow them to battle it out- swords, bows and arrows and blasters. And they love toys that allow them to use their imagination to build one of a kind creations.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a toy that combined the two?

Guess what? With K'NEX K-FORCE there is!

These fun sets allow your child to first enjoy the fun of K'NEX as they build their blaster, and then the fun of shooting them when it's put together! The fun never stops!

For this review, we received the K-FORCE K-20X, and we could not wait to rip it open. Here's a little bit more about this set:

K-FORCE K-20X Building Set (#47524)

Build 4 different blaster and target models in one set with the K-20X!  Fires up to 75 feet!  Set includes K'NEX rods and connectors plus special parts to create different blasters: 1 blaster chamber, 2 skull dart holders, 1 quick fit grip, 1 preload ring and 5 foam darts.  In addition to the main K-20X model, you can download instructions for 3 alternate blasters and buildable targets.  Most models can be built one at a time.  Compatible with the entire K-FORCE Build and Blast line.  Suggested Retail Price is $27.99.   Ages 8+.  Available now at knex.com and amazon.com.

As I said, when this set arrived, we could not wait to rip it open! In fact, my son ripped the box open so quickly he almost lost some of the pieces! Word to the wise, make sure you have a nice hard, clean workspace ready when you bring this one home!

Now, if you've never tried out K'NEX before, I would just like to warn you that they are a bit more challenging than other building toys we've tried... featuring a variety of different pieces that fit together in unique ways. But that challenge makes it all the more fun!! Thankfully, the instructions were fairly easy to read. I did have to assist my son, but mostly just because he was unfamiliar with how the pieces worked and quite frankly quite impatient!! But, he still enjoyed it, nonetheless!

Once it was put together... well, that's when the real fun started! He loved aiming at his targets and bringing his creation to life...and immediately couldn't wait to add more to his collection so that he and his daddy could play together. (Did I mention big boys love these too!?) As I said, this is a toy that truly keep the fun coming! It's not a 'put it together and put it on a shelf' type of toy, but a 'put it together...and keep on playing' toy!! And we loved it!
