Keeping a one year old occupied can be a little tricky! My daughter loves to be on the go- into everything she's not supposed to be into. Needless to say, I'm always on the lookout for toys that will keep her attention. So, when I was asked to review the VTech Go! Go! Smart Animals Tree House Hideaway Playset, I jumped at the chance! Here's a brief look at what this playset is all about:

Learn about animals, play sing-along songs and more with the included SmartPoint™ panda or other SmartPoint animals (sold separately). Crank the basket elevator to the top of the playset, play on the swing or lift the ramp and watch the panda ride the slide to the bottom. The Tree House Hideaway Playset includes five SmartPoint locations and six manipulative features including a shape sorter that can help develop hand/eye coordination. The colorful tracks can be connected to other Go! Go! Smart Animals or Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets (each sold separately) to encourage children’s creativity.  Ages 1-5 years, MSRP: $29.99.
When my son was about my daughter's age, he had a few VTech toys and found that they were his absolute favorites, so I was excited to see if my daughter would feel the same. Immediately, she was intrigued. The bright colors and fun sounds and songs immediately grabbed her attention. She could not wait to get it put together! The instructions were fairly easy to follow and we were able to get to playing pretty quickly (though certainly not quick enough for my anxious girl). With so many ways to play, this tree house keeps play interesting... my son got into the action and loved seeing panda race down the tracks. My daughter loved the basket elevator, though she couldn't quite figure out how to make it go on her own just yet (she's only 13 months old after all). I personally loved the shape sorter and the fun Smartpoint locations to which the Panda (and any other animals, sold separately) react to. Very fun!

When my son was a toddler, he loved anything with connecting tracks. Though my daughter has not yet shown much interest in that yet, I know that had this to been around when he was that age, he would have loved that these sets can connect to create one mega playset and offer even more fun learning experience! We are looking forward to seeing what other adventures we can add to the tree house to keep the fun coming.

As a mom, I love that not only is this toy incredibly entertaining, it's also developmentally appropriate (as we have found all VTech infant toys to be!). My daughter can stay occupied while learning valuable lessons like hand/eye coordination, cause/effect and even all about animals!
