Encouraging Kids to Eat Healthy with #SandwichBrosFan #ad

This is a sponsored post with Sandwich Bros and BraVoMark. All opinions are mine

We all know the importance of eating healthy for both kids and adults alike... but let's be honest, it's a whole lot easier said than done. We may know that those cookies and brownies aren't great for us, but... they look and taste so delicious! Am I right?

Even as adults it can be hard to make the proper food choices, which is why it's so important to teach kids at a young age to make better for them food choices. They will take these habits with them as they grow, making it much easier to make the right choices regarding their food as they become adults and do their own shopping and cooking.

Still... how do we encourage kids to eat healthy? Today I'm sharing a few simple tricks!

  • Keep Them Involved. Whether it's teaching them to cook or helping them start their very own vegetable gardens, kids are going to be more excited when they play a part!
  • Give Them Choices. I've found that with my kids, they might complain if I just hand them what I want them to eat... choices makes it more fun for them. Give them healthier food choices, and they'll still feel like they're getting their way!
  • Lead By Example. Kids model what they see, so let them see you willing and happy to eat better for you options!
  • Allow Treats. If you eat healthy most of the time, it IS okay to allow a treat now and again too.
  • Make It Fun. Just because it's healthy, doesn't mean it can't be fun too! Make fun faces out of vegetables or create other fun themed plates!
  • Find Healthier Alternatives to Kid Favorites. Does your kid love chicken nuggets? Find healthier options or make them yourself. You get the idea.
For my son, burgers and sandwiches are kind of his things. He would love if we could just run through a drive through every single day for a juicy cheeseburger. But... that's not good for us! However, we recently found a company that offers burgers that are quick and easy... but a MUCH healthier alternative to drive throughs, Sandwich Bros.

Sandwich Bros. offer protein packed sandwiches that are crafted from fresh-baked flatbread pockets and feature premium ingredients: whole eggs, all natural sausage, 100% Angus beef, all white chicken and REAL American cheese. They use all local meats and cheese from Wisconsin. Not only are they wholesome, they're delicious too... they're tagline is 'Really....Really Tasty!®', and after just one bite, my kids completely understood why! They ate them up.

For my son, these are a great after school snack. They are quick and easy enough that he can pop them in the microwave and make his own. But with a side salad or some great veggies, they are great for lunch too! He gets the great burger or chicken taste he loves--- without any of the bad that he doesn't!

But these aren't just great for kids--- they truly taste great enough that EVERYONE in the family, young and old, can enjoy them just the same and enjoy doing so!
