Secret of the Hidden Scrolls, Book Three NowAvailable {+ A Giveaway}

** I received this book from WorthyKids/Ideals for free in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are 100% my own.

In my house, books are kind of a big deal!

When I was a kid, I was ALWAYS reading something. I loved being whisked away to some far off lands...or at least places different than my own. I loved meeting new characters and following along on their grand adventures. I never wanted them to end. Perhaps that is why I was always so drawn to a great series. When one adventure would end, I could pick up another and read on.

My son is the same way! He loves to read, and prefers falling in love with a series rather than an individual novel. Last fall, he was introduced to a new series that combine his love of adventure and time traveling to his love of the Bible... The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls.

He was instantly drawn into this world of time traveling fun, and breezed right through the first two book in the series. He could not wait for more! And now the wait is over! Book Three: The Great Escape is available NOW! Take a look:

In The Great Escape, Peter, Mary, and Hank journey to the pyramid-studded desert of ancient Egypt. When the trio become friends with Pharaoh’s daughter, they witness first-hand as Moses petitions Pharaoh for the Israelites’ freedom. Plagues wreak havoc as the group races to decode the scroll, gets chased by a panther, and battles Pharaoh’s cunning advisor, the Great Magician. Young readers will anxiously follow along as Peter and Mary’s thrilling adventures bring the biblical story of Exodus to life.

If you have a kid who is just starting to read chapter books, this is a great series to try out! It's ideal for kids ages 6-9 years old, but it's such a fun series that even my advanced reader 10-year-old still enjoys it... and isn't that what reading SHOULD be?

For my son, it's all about the adventure. He loves a good time traveling story, so needless to say this is up his alley. It also features illustrations throughout to help keep him involved in the story. While I am lucky to have a son who enjoys reading, I have heard from many other boy moms that getting boys at this age to stay interested in books. I think in part that is a matter of finding those books that can entertain... this series does just that, and truly is great read for boys and girls alike.

For me as a mom, I love that it's a series I can feel good about him reading. It's Biblically based, so he's getting a little bit of history and great messages as he reads too! I love that!

If you're looking for a new series for your children to dive into, or if you've been anxiously awaiting the third installment since the last release--- you can now purchase books 1-3 in The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls.

And one very lucky reader is also going to win a copy of The Great Escape for themselves. Enter using the giveaway form below:
