The Perfect Bible for Note Taking {A Journaling Bible Review}

Most often when I write about Bible journaling, I am referring to ART journaling--- paint, stickers, drawing, etc in your Bible. As a creative person, that's a type of journaling that I personally fell in love with and do myself.

Still, it's not for everyone. Maybe you're not comfortable with the idea of painting, or maybe art just isn't your thing. And you know what? That's totally fine. But even if you aren't into THAT type of Bible journaling, that doesn't mean that you cannot benefit from a journaling Bible. You see, art is not the only thing they are great for--- but for prayer journaling and taking sermon/bible study notes as well.

Today, I'm excited to introduce you a journaling Bible that is ideal for this purpose- CSB Notetaking Bible:

The CSB Notetaking Bible is designed to enhance personal Bible study as well as preparation for teaching and preaching. This Bible contains a single-column setting, and abundant space is provided with a 1.75 inch notetaking space on each page to make observations, record insights, raise questions, and suggest to yourself additional exploration of the text.

Features inlcude: Smyth-sewn binding, Presentation page, single-column text, 1.75 inch margins for notetaking, 8-point type, One-year Bible Reading Plan, Concordance, Full-color maps, and more.

The CSB Notetaking Bible features the highly readable, highly reliable text of the Christian Standard Bible (CSB). The CSB stays as literal as possible to the Bible's original meaning without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with Scripture's life-transforming message and to share it with others.

First and foremost, can we admire the beauty of this Bible? It is gorgeous. It's design is beautiful without being over the top, and while it is true we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I must admit I like pretty things. But onto the inside...

I mentioned above that this was a more ideal Bible for notetaking... but what makes it so? While the large majority of journaling Bibles I have found have lined margined, they are done so very lightly. For art journaling this is GREAT. Those subtle lines can be easily covered and not overly distracted. The lines in this Bible are much darker--- truly perfect for writing in the margins! Whether it's noting your prayers while you read, or taking notes as you study your Bible, this is truly ideal.

It's also a great translation. I must admit CSB is new to me, but the more I read it, the more I enjoy it. It is a very readable translation that still allows us to see the true meaning of the words we're reading. Clarity is everything when studying the Bible so I believe this is a great translation for that.

If you're looking for a great Bible JUST for notes and thoughts... this is the journaling Bible for YOU! It is available to purchase now at your favorite Christian book retailers.
