Back in high school as a brand new Christian I was introduces to a fantastic book called 'A Purpose Driven Life' by Rick Warren. It was a great book and might just be the book that inspired my love of Christian nonfiction. Throughout the years I have picked up other great reads by Rick Warren and have always appreciated each of them. When it comes to Christian nonfiction, Rick Warren has become a household name.

So, when I recently discovered that he had recently released some new books just for children, I was excited to read them to my children. Like the adorable new 'God's Great Love For You':

God’s Great Love for You, written by #1 New York Times bestselling author and respected pastor Rick Warren, takes children on a whimsical and heartfelt journey that lets them know God’s love is with them wherever they go. With breathtaking illustrations by Chris Saunders, the simple yet poignant text comes alive as a child journeys to places far and near and discovers God’s great love is perfect, and everywhere, and will never end.

Perhaps one of the very first lessons that most of us teach our children is that God loves them. It certainly was when I was a child. How many of us have those early memories of singing 'Yes, Jesus loves me...' This book is a beautiful reminder of just that.

When it comes to bedtime stories, we love a book that is short and sweet and this one has it covered perfectly. Each page really only has a few simple words, but those words I think hold a lot of meaning. By keeping it short, it keeps kids from growing wary... and makes it easy to read 'just one more time'. It was such a simple read that I know my daughter got the intended message, not lost anywhere in the story.

Aside from being a cute story, it's beautifully illustrated. Personally, I was excited to turn each page to see the beautiful artwork. Absolutely stunning! Together with the words made for a perfect combination to remind children just how loved they are and how God's love would never end.

This book is the perfect Christmas gift to keep God in the holiday season. It is available to purchase now at your favorite Christian book retailers.
