The Time Chamber: An Adult Coloring Book {Review}

**Book received for review. All thoughts are my own.

I have recently started enjoying a new hobby... or rather, I rediscovered an old hobby from my childhood that is! Yes, I'm talking about coloring! I'm not the only one either... adult coloring books are becoming more and more popular! And with great reason! It is such a fun way to relax and pass the time- much less stressful than partaking in Internet drama or other unproductive ventures.

My journey into adult coloring books actually started with Bible journaling. You see, I'm not great at drawing so I picked up a few Christian themed coloring books that I felt would be useful for tracing into my journal. It worked well, but I actually found I loved these coloring books all by themselves too! So, I picked up a couple more and have been slowly building my collection.

Today, I'm excited to share with you one fantastic coloring book: The Time Chamber:

Korean artist Daria Song’s sequel to The Time Garden takes readers on a visual journey into a magical nighttime world seen through the eyes of a fairy.

This second book in the bestselling Time coloring series features the voyage of a fairy who, when the cuckoo clock chimes midnight, enters the human world. To the tiny fairy, everything seems enormous and magical, from the curtains to the chandelier to a mystical rowboat that takes her further into an inky adventure. With her she packs her favorite items, which colorers can find throughout the book’s pages: an owl-feathered pen, a star-scented spray, a time tape measure…even the key to the time chamber itself!

Filled with the imaginative, intricately detailed illustrations Song’s readers have come to love, The Time Chamber presents a view of our world made new—and ready for coloring.

The Time Chamber features extra-thick craft paper, ideal for non bleed-through coloring, and the jacketed cover with flaps is removable and colorable. Special gold-foil stamping on the cover and spine and a To/From page make it perfect for gifting to adults and kids alike.

Now, I do not have the first book- The Time Garden- but I have to say that this one is absolutely wonderful all on it's own!

First and foremost I must say if you are just starting out with adult coloring books...well, this one may not be for you. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely stunning, but it has a LOT of detail! Looking at some of the pictures I must admit I found myself a little overwhelmed on how and where to begin! These small details are not necessarily uncommon in adult coloring books, but you'll definitely want to be prepared! Still, as I said, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Yes, there are some pages that I'm not quite ready to tackle yet but I look forward to doing so after some more practice with simpler pages!

What I loved most was that this isn't JUST a coloring book, there's a story too! That keeps the fun coming even after the pages are all colored...and makes it an especially fun keepsake too!

This is definitely going to be a must see for the color-er on your list of ANY age! They will love getting swept away in this magical world of coloring!

The Time Chamber is available to purchase now at your favorite book retailers!
