29 Weeks...and an Exhausting Weekend!!

Whew...what a busy weekend we had! So busy that I didn't get around to taking my 29 week belly picture! But I did get this picture of my family, taken at 29 weeks, so I figured I would just share that instead! Please don't mind my swollen legs!! Ah, pregnancy in the summer! This was taken at my niece's first birthday party in Illinois! So fun!! (Though it does not seem possible that she should be a year old already! Truly, where does the time go!) We stayed in Illinois (about 3-3.5 hours away) and visited family Friday and Saturday night...then headed out first thing Sunday morning to a wedding- about 4 hours away from there- 2 hours from our home!! Also, outside!! Needless to say, it was an exhausting weekend for us all, but we enjoyed it anyway!! I only hope our entire summer isn't like this...our schedule seems to be filling up fast! But anyway- onto the pregnancy update:

How far along?
 29 Weeks

Baby's size: Butternut Squash (2.5 pounds)

Maternity clothes: Pants are entirely maternity at this point. Tops are mostly maternity, but still a few non thrown in. Dresses are a mix of both. (Dress above is not maternity.)

Best moment this week: No big baby related moments (that I recall anyway...days and weeks are starting to blend!), but the best part of this week in general was going to Illinois to visit family, and going to our niece's first birthday party!!

Miss anything?  Same as before- Sleeping on my stomach...and well, sleeping in general. Being able to get things done. And as much as I actually do really love my maternity wardrobe, I do at times miss being able to wear whatever I want!! And having more clothing choices!! Picking up my little man and being able to snuggle him more comfortably.

Movement: All. The. Time.

Food cravings: Fried Pickles. Rally's Ice Cream. (But not together!) Water, water, water!

Food aversions: Same- Drinks- I still cannot drink anything but water or Starbucks (decaf) frappucinos. No real food aversions though.

Gender: GIRL

Labor signs: Contractions, still...It seems to just be the norm for me! Still...no fun!!

Sleep: Sleeps, what's that!? Finding it harder and harder to get comfortable at night.

Symptoms: Pain, pain...everywhere!!  Hands and feet still swelling. Contractions. A little bit of heartburn at times. General exhaustion...it's most certainly the third trimester!!!

Belly button in or out? This week, its mostly out-ish. Silly belly button!!

Looking forward to?  Baby Shower. Finishing the nursery. Getting everything done. And of course, meeting our baby girl (but despite the discomforts of pregnancy, I'm in no rush just yet.)

  5. I'm 32 weeks with my second child. The second pregnancy sure is harder with a toddler to take care of, huh? I miss being able to take a nap whenever I needed to with the first pregnancy.
